She tells the story of the madwoman in the attic. (Her story is different from Rochester's.)
Your blog is interesting. Keep being a book snob! We need more people with high standards. As you can see, most of my reading stays in the past.
I, like you, love The Wind in the Willows (if you put the title in the "blog search" my review of it will appear). Mr. Badger is my hero.
And, lastly, is Dear Heart the Geraldine Page/Glenn Ford movie? I love that film. It has its heart in the right place.
Thanks for dropping by.Phillip Routhhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03803146151771620210noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1950314625529967307.post-59478565866517554312009-04-08T16:33:00.000-07:002009-04-08T16:33:00.000-07:00Hello, I stopped in to read your review of one my ...Hello, I stopped in to read your review of one my favorite books, Jane Eyre. At first I took offense at your comment about the last hundred pages, but then I realized that I usually skim those same pages when I'm re-reading the book. They tell a story that seems to be just "filling in time" until Jane gets back to Rochester.

I enjoyed reading through many of your other entries.hopeinbrazilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05842290165385823751noreply@blogger.com
